A place where hands move freely under open sky.

Camp Mark Seven is not merely a place — it is a feeling. A breath of belonging carried on the breeze across Fourth Lake. A sanctuary where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Coda/KODA individuals step into a world shaped by their language, their culture, and their lived experiences — and finally feel at home.

From the beginning, Father Tom Coughlin, a Deaf priest, dreamed of a place like this: a refuge woven from Deaf culture, community, spirituality, and the quiet strength of the Adirondacks. His vision took root in these forests in 1981, grew in the hearts of campers, and continues to live in every shared story.

Grounded in a spirit of connection and belonging, CM7 welcomes people of all backgrounds and beliefs — a place where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Coda/KODA individuals come together to connect, grow, and belong.

The $7 Million Campaign is the next chapter — a transformational renewal of the spaces that hold our stories, an expansion of the places where community grows, and a commitment to ensuring that the heart of CM7 beats strong for generations to come.

The Pavilion Overlook

New Construction

An open-air embrace above Fourth Lake — a place where community gathers in the language of hands and hearts.

Positioned to capture stunning lakefront views, the Pavilion Overlook features an inviting timber design that blends with the Adirondack landscape. It will accommodate parent programs, CM7 activities, and social events — fostering inclusion and unity among campers, staff, alumni, and visitors.

The Chapel in the Woods

New Construction

A sanctuary of stillness where light, spirit, and nature meet in a peaceful harmony among whimsical pines.

A 1,072-square-foot hexagon-shaped chapel inspired by monastic architecture and Deaf space principles. Built on bedrock for long-term stability, with west-facing windows that fill the sanctuary with warm natural light — seating roughly fifty people for prayer, meditation, and community gathering.

Visitors Center & Staff Residence Hall

New Construction

A warm, welcoming gateway, a first embrace for every guest who steps onto this cherished ground.

The Visitors Center will serve as a year-round check-in facility for all guests, creating a secure, welcoming entry onto campgrounds. The attached Staff Residence Hall provides lodging for support staff, freeing beds in the Mohawk Lodge for more campers.

The Boat Shed

New Construction

Down by the water’s edge, where adventures begin and the lake carries laughter afar!

A lakeside structure designed to support CM7’s expanding waterfront programs. The Boat Shed provides safe, organized storage for kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, and essential waterfront equipment, creating a more efficient and accessible experience for all campers.

Renovation

The Pole Barn Extension

New Expansion

A guardian of tools, care, and craftsmanship helping CM7 flourish through every season to come.

A 1,575-square-foot expansion of the existing maintenance building. Centralizes tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure efficient maintenance of camp facilities year-round, while protecting critical equipment from weather and wear.

The Mohawk Lodge

Historic Preservation

Standing proudly for over a century, the beating heart of Camp Mark 7.

The historic Mohawk Lodge remains the heart of CM7. Planned renovations will preserve its Adirondack charm while updating essential systems, improving safety, accessibility, and comfort for generations of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and KODA/Coda campers yet to come.
