If you haven't yet checked out the HAPPY video at www.deaffilmcamp.com, where have you been these last few months? It's been viewed over one million times on YouTube and was recognized worldwide by major news outlets such as ABC's World News Tonight and People Magazine. This video, filmed on Camp Mark Seven grounds in Old Forge, NY, was also spotlighted during a live performance at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. For two weeks in July, deaf and hard of hearing children from all over the country learned how to write, shoot and direct video productions under the tutelage of professional deaf filmmakers, animators and screenwriters. Deaf Film Camp Director Stacy Lawrence assembled and led the amazing team that made all of this possible; they are looking forward to a repeat performance next year! If you need a little holiday cheer, check out the video again and see what happiness means to all of us!
