Deaf STEM Camp (Ages 8-14)
The NTID Regional STEM Center (NRSC) is a proud sponsor of the Deaf STEM Camp program and is pleased to announce a special campership award of $500 to the FIRST twenty-five (25) deaf campers who register in the Deaf STEM Camp program from August 11 - 23, 2019. To receive this campership award, the camper must be registered. CM7 will contact you if your registration is accepted for this campership award.
Deaf STEM Camp is available for any camper who is deaf or hard of hearing, ages 8 to 14, from residential schools for the deaf and mainstreamed programs for deaf and hard of hearing students. If your child has a knack for fun STEM activities and loves outdoor camping, this Deaf STEM Camp is the place to go. From a staff of highly skilled STEM teachers, deaf and hard of hearing campers have direct access to ASL.
During the 2 week program, campers will have fun exploring STEM concepts with nature. Develop critical thinking skills on STEM academic areas that can lead to possibilities in a future STEM career. Campers will develop friendships, and learn that creativity has no bounds. Campers will have time to explore the gorgeous Fourth Lake in the Adirondacks hiking, swimming, tubing and canoeing. At the end of the two week program, family members are invited to come to Parents' Night.
If your child is between 8 and 14 years old, loves to socialize with deaf and hard of hearing campers and loves outdoor recreation along with fun STEM activities, consider this camp!
